Job Purpose

The R&D Export Deployment Executive for Oral Care & Skin Cleansing is responsible for coordinating R&D activities across export projects, ensuring robust technical delivery across formulation and packaging workstreams, and enabling successful deployment across countries and regions. The role works closely with Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Procurement, suppliers, manufacturing sites, Artwork teams, and project stakeholders to align development activities and deliver projects on time, meeting required quality and technical standards.

This position plays a critical role in supporting export growth by ensuring packaging readiness, specification and master data set-up, supplier and factory validation, artwork coordination, trial execution, and quality risk management for export projects.


Key Responsibilities

1. Lead R&D Coordination for Export Deployment Projects

  • Coordinate R&D activities for export deployment projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Procurement, suppliers, factories, and project teams.
  • Ensure alignment across development networks to deliver projects according to timeline, quality, and technical requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve deployment challenges.

2. Conduct Testing, Plant Trials, Transit Tests, and Risk Assessments

  • Plan and support execution of product testing, factory trials, transit tests, and technical assessments.
  • Evaluate formulation, packaging, manufacturing, transportation, storage, and quality risks prior to market deployment.
  • Ensure technical readiness and compliance with project requirements.

3. Provide Technical Guidance and Deployment Support

  • Deliver technical inputs required for project execution, including:

    • Packaging technical drawings
    • Artwork cutter guides
    • Component dimensions
    • Material specifications
    • Packaging compatibility requirements
    • Palletization and logistics guidance
  • Collaborate with Artwork, Quality, Supply Chain, suppliers, and factories to ensure packaging design, coding requirements, transport conditions, and manufacturing feasibility are aligned before launch.

4. Manage Specifications and Master Data

  • Create, maintain, and update product specifications and master data.
  • Ensure technical documentation accuracy, compliance, and readiness for deployment activities.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to support system set-up and product launch requirements.

5. Drive Packaging Development and Deployment Readiness

  • Support packaging development activities from concept to deployment, including:

    • Packaging format selection
    • Material and component evaluation
    • Supplier sample assessment
    • Technical drawing validation
    • Artwork fit-checks
    • Line trial execution
    • Transportation and storage assessments
  • Validate packaging performance against consumer, market, manufacturing, and quality requirements.

6. Support Costing Activities

  • Prepare and provide technical inputs for product costing exercises when required.
  • Align material specifications, packaging requirements, and technical assumptions with Procurement, Supply Chain, and suppliers.

7. Manage Export Packaging and Formulation Portfolio

  • Develop and maintain visibility of export packaging and formulation portfolios across multiple markets.
  • Track packaging formats, component specifications, supplier sources, artwork status, testing progress, deployment readiness, and project risks.
  • Support portfolio optimization and deployment prioritization activities.


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Packaging Technology, Material Science, Industrial Engineering, or related technical disciplines.

Experience

  • Open to candidates interested in product development, export deployment, packaging development, manufacturing processes, or project coordination.
  • Experience in project management, packaging production, supplier management, quality processes, manufacturing operations, or specification/master data management is an advantage.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
